Overexposed: Maroon 5

NOTE: this song belongs to Maroon 5

Maroon 5 has been releasing iconic music for years, but did you know the group was originally called Kara’s Flowers and even released one album in 1997? They later joined forces with guitarist James Valentine, changed their image to a more pop-style and renamed the band.

Over the course of their career, they’ve created countless chart-topping tracks. Who could forget the first time they heard “She Will Be Loved” or “Harder To Breath” from their 2002 album Songs About Jane?

Then came It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, which included “If I Never See Your Face Again,” “Won’t Go Home Without You” and “Not Falling Apart.”

Hands All Over was released in 2011 (this is one of my favorite CDs from them), with so many good songs I don’t think I could list them all! Let’s see…”Stutter,” “Misery,” “How” …the list goes on! Just to mention it, if you don’t own Hands All Over, go buy it immediately!

As of June 26, 2012 (yesterday) the band dropped their newest album called Overexposed, and I’m sure it will become a hit as well. Here’s some standouts: Wipe Your Eyes (deluxe album), Payphone (featuring Wiz Khalifa), One More Night and Daylight.

It’s got that classic Maroon 5 sound–it’s upbeat, fun and has some edge. Maroon 5 fans, you need to add this one to your collection!

The song above is “Daylight;” a bit slower paced than some of the other songs on the album, but a true love song about leaving, but wanting to hold on. Relatable, don’t you think?
